On the morning of March 7, the ground-breaking ceremony of CR Power Smart Energy R&D Center project was hosted in southern Songshan Lake. The project will focus on research and development of the industrial chain of clean energy and smart energy, and incubate an office space that is in line with the need for innovative talents to attract high-level talents.

The activity was attended by Liu Wei, Member of the Standing Committee of Dongguan Municipal Committee of the CPC and Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Songshan Lake, Wu Jingjun, Member of the Party Working Committee and Chief Engineer of the Management Committee of Songshan Lake, Huang Jingquan, Member of the Management Committee of Songshan Lake, Mo Yubin, Member of the Management Committee of Songshan Lake, Zhang Junzheng, Deputy Secreatry of Party Committee and Vice President of the Board of China Resources Power Holdings Co., Ltd. (CR Power), Jiang Muchuan, Secretary of Party Committee and General Manager of the south China area of China Resources Land Limited, Hou Guoshu, Hou Guoshu, Vice General Manager of China Railway Construction Engineering Group, Jiang Feng, Vice General Manager of CR Land (Dongguan Company), Yan Yunfeng, Assistant General Manager of CR Land (Dongguan Company), and people in charge from various departments of Songshan Lake and representatives participating in the construction.
Project of CR Power Smart Energy R&D Center
It is learned that CR Power Smart Energy R&D Center project covers a land area of about 82,100 m2 and a gross floor area of about 216,000 m2, including “one base and five centers”, namely, CR smart energy base, comprehensive energy research center, smart energy research center, smart energy incubation center, comprehensive experiment R&D center and center for comprehensive supporting facilities.
Liu Wei expressed in his speech that in July last year, the Songshan Lake Science City was incorporated into the construction of the pilot of comprehensive national science center in the Greater Bay Area, assuming the important mission of representing the country in participating in the international competition in science and technology. In the future, Songshan Lake will accept a batch of scientific apparatus, research facilities and research platforms, and deploy a batch of industry technology R&D center with enterprises as the core.
With the development positioning of digitalization and intelligence, the CR Power Smart Energy R&D Center project will effectively facilitate technology innovation in the field of energy and form a platform that converges innovation, R&D and high-end talents resources, displaying the features of the comprehensive national science center in the Greater Bay Area.
Jiang Muchuan expressed that the People’s Government of Dongguan Municipality and China Resources Holdings Co., Ltd. signed the strategic cooperation framework agreement in September 2018. CR Holdings thinks highly of Dongguan’s brand new positioning of “Thriving Dongguan, A Pearl in the Greater Bay Area” and development prospects under the state strategy of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It hopes to leverage its own advantages to participate in Dongguan’s city construction and development.
The businesses of CR Holdings cover five areas, including big consumption, comprehensive health, city construction and operation, energy services, and science and finance. As two important businesses modules of CR Holdings, CR Power and CR Land collaborated to build the CR Power Smart Energy R&D Center project in Songshan Lake, Dongguan. It is hoped that this project will play an important role in Dongguan’s city construction and industry development.
According to Zhang Junzheng, Songshan Lake is likely to emerge as the core of an advanced center for technology innovation in manufacturing and Guangzhou-Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Corridor with global influence. As a leading enterprise in the energy industry, CR Power will build the CR Power Smart Energy R&D Center project in Songshan Lake. Centering around the concept of green development, the project will focus on building smart energy infrastructure that integrates with the city’s architecture to produce new features of the city of green, environmentally friendly and low carbon.
